Standard Packaging

Each unit of outdoor solid dielectric ring main unit is fixed on a heavy duty steel base. Key components are wrapped with anti dust PE film and bubble foam to avoid scratch, moisture and collision. Vulnerable parts such as operating handles, auxiliary connectors and accessories are individually packed in separate inner boxes. Complete equipment is housed in reinforced export plywood cases with shock absorbing padding inside. Corner protectors are fitted on case edges to resist impact during handling and transit. For bulk shipments, multiple plywood cases are firmly strapped onto fumigated wooden pallets for container loading.

Shipping

We support FCL and LCL sea freight, air freight, as well as project specific over land trucking, subject to order quantity and destination country. Available trade terms include EXW, FOB, CIF, DAP and other Incoterms upon customer request. Freight cost is calculated according to cargo volume, gross weight, delivery destination and selected transport mode.

Q1: What is the main difference between outdoor RMU and indoor RMU?

A: The outdoor ring main unit is designed for direct outdoor installation without building an indoor distribution room. It adopts weather‑proof cabinet with higher environmental adaptability against rain, dust and temperature change. Indoor RMU must be placed inside buildings and cannot be exposed to open‑air conditions.

 

Q2: Is this solid‑dielectric outdoor RMU maintenance‑free?

A: The high‑voltage solid‑insulated switching parts are fully sealed and maintenance‑free for cleaning. Only the operating mechanism requires regular visual inspection and lubrication according to operation manual. Routine overhaul of internal solid‑insulated modules is not required.

 

Q3: What environment can the outdoor RMU adapt to?

A: It fits urban commercial districts, industrial parks, mining areas and metallurgical sites. The cabinet can work under wide temperature range, anti‑dust and anti‑rain. Not suitable for strong corrosive gas environment without extra anti‑corrosion treatment.

 

Q4: Can this outdoor RMU support smart‑grid upgrade?

A: Yes. The unit reserves installation positions for sensors and intelligent communication interfaces. Customers can add intelligent monitoring modules later to realize remote signal collection and status monitoring for smart grid application.

 

Q5: What operating mechanisms are available for selection?

A: Two types of operating mechanisms are optional: spring operating mechanism and permanent‑magnet operating mechanism, to meet different customer project requirements.

 

Q6: What are the main rated parameters of this outdoor ring main unit?
