An UPVC (unplasticized polyvinyl chloride) butterfly valve is a lightweight, durable, and corrosion-resistant valve used to regulate or stop the flow of fluids. It is composed of a UPVC body and a disc mounted on a rotating shaft. The disc rotates 90 degrees to move from fully open, where it is parallel to the flow, to fully closed, where it blocks the flow.
